i've been thinking about this for a while, but evan's debut promo rollout feels very intentional to me, rather than 'low budget' like i've seen others say. heeseung is deliberately making everything feel a lot more personal & immersive, whether it's about the way he's choosing to share his demos with us ahead of the official release, or involving us throughout the process of building his brand as evan.
it feels very different from the conceptual releases we're used to in kpop & i find the way he's trying to deconstruct the typical image of an idol really refreshing. he's choosing to let us in on his creative process instead of showing us the polished, final cut. that's precisely why i enjoy the minimalist theme he's going for a lot, i think it suits him well & it's definitely a reflection of his own words: that he's sharing his stories with us, a deeper, more introspective version of himself :')
