A gorgeous little fat-tailed dunnart from the Moon Plain near Coober Pedy. Despite looking about as barren as possible, there is still an amazingly diverse assemblage of animals out there!

What happens when a threatened predator is reintroduced to threatened prey species? Researchers from @UNSW and @AridRecovery have found a number of benefits to reintroducing western quolls, a native predator, into fenced conservation reserves.

Probably one of the cutest little Australian native animals I’ve ever seen. Every time I see these little shark bay bandicoots I love them more and more. Big thanks to @bilby_jack for having myself and my partner for last week at Secret Rocks

So happy to have worked with Nature Foundation to develop a long-term population monitoring plan for the endangered Pygmy bluetongue lizard at the @naturefdnau Tiliqua reserve. Such a brilliant project on a brilliant species!

The Pygmy Copperhead (Austrelaps labialis) is found only MLR and KI in SA, making it the states only endemic snake species. Great to finally get to photograph this local endemic, especially right before I head back into the desert for the summer field season!
