A historic day for human space exploration. 🚀
NASA is currently holding its Artemis III crew announcement and mission update today, marking another major step toward the next era of lunar exploration.
Artemis III is planned for 2027 and will launch astronauts aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft, carried by the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from Kennedy Space Center.
The mission will test critical deep space operations, including rendezvous and docking between Orion and commercial Human Landing Systems being developed by SpaceX’s Starship Human Landing System and Blue Origin’s Blue Moon technologies needed for future Moon missions.
Unlike Apollo, Artemis is building a long term pathway: returning humans to the lunar environment, developing sustainable exploration, and preparing for future missions to Mars.
The next chapter of space exploration is being written today.
I’m hyped for this one again and as usual, I’ll follow back to back and give relevant and verified information as soon as I get them.
