Nightly Builds, next full-length album, September 2026
The Debugged: Betas and B-Sides release hit different. The streaming metrics told me the real story; people weren’t just hitting the singles and bouncing. The listens stacked almost perfectly across every track, over and over. That means more to me than anything else. It told me the work lands when it’s taken as a complete piece, not scattered clips. I’m hoping that same momentum carries over here, because Nightly Builds is built as one continuous story from beginning to end.
This record is a concept album that walks through the most turbulent year of my life as a young man, the exact stretch of time that broke me open, led to my autism diagnosis, and finally gave me a map of how my own head actually functions. These events defined me as a man, defined my relationship with G-d, and changed my screams of pain into songs of hope.
Each track will have its own companion page on the website with a piece of my real journal from that exact time period. Not cleaned up, not dramatized, just my actual words from back then sitting next to the song. That’s how close this one sits to the bone.
On the technical side, this album is dragging me into audio engineering territory I never expected to touch. I picked up a Zoom recorder and stood in the actual locations where these events happened more than 20 years ago. I captured real ambient sound from the places themselves. Those field recordings are getting woven straight into the final mixes. Physically going back to those places has added a heavy emotional tax. It's forcing me to stare down old trauma again and finally put some of those demons to rest. The whole process has been mentally and emotionally exhausting in ways I didn’t see coming, so I’ll be upfront: I haven’t been as present or communicative with everyone as I normally am. I’m sorry for the radio silence. Making this record has taken pretty much everything I’ve got right now.
This album is completely different from anything I’ve released before. It deconstructs my style as an artist down to its raw, basic building blocks. As you journey through the story with me, as I’m torn down to nothing and have to build myself back up, you’ll hear the music itself being stripped down and slowly rebuilt. By the end of the album, you’ll hear me return to the sound you’ve come to know.
I know very well that works this personal don't usually move a ton of numbers, but that's not why I'm making it. I have an irrational drive to make sure this complete story exists out in the world. If it reaches even one person who needs to hear it, then it’s done what it was meant to do.
If you’ve been riding with me since Debugging The Human Algorithm, thank you. If you’re new here, welcome. This one’s heavier, it’s more personal, and it’s the most honest thing I’ve ever put together. Very few people in the world know this complete story, and the amount of people who do could comfortably fit in the backseat of a Honda Civic hatchback.
I’ve also been releasing some solo singles lately as a way to test new audio techniques, instruments, and software. When I’m working on serious material, I usually use covers or standalone tracks as scratch paper to try things out. So those singles you’ve seen are basically my test runs. There are a few more polished ones coming between now and the release of Nightly Builds.
More details, early previews, and exact release timing will start rolling out soon. The album drops mid-September.
I truly do appreciate every single one of you.
