I congratulate my elder brother and dear friend H.E @narendramodi on the historic milestone of leading India with vision and determination across three consecutive democratic mandates as India’s longest serving Prime Minister, earning the sustained trust of the world's largest and most vibrant democracy. His governance has lifted millions out of poverty, rolled out digital public infrastructure at population scale, and driven unprecedented infrastructure growth resulting in rapid economic progress. He has been a strong and sustained voice of the Global South.

I had the opportunity to participate in the annual summit organized by Books For Africa, a U.S.-based organization renowned for donating books to various African countries. During the summit, we held productive discussions on areas of ongoing and future collaboration. On this occasion, the organization generously donated 13,000 books that will serve as valuable reference materials for doctors, medical students, and other students in Ethiopia. I extend my sincere gratitude to Books For Africa for this meaningful contribution and for its continued commitment to expanding access to knowledge and educational resources across Africa. 📚🇪🇹🤝🌍

Glad to have valuable dialogue and engagement at the African Leaders and Partners Annual Forum held at the Ronald Reagan World Trade Center. The discussions focused on U.S.-Africa Investment and Trade relations in the global context and highlighted the demand for strengthened economic cooperation and strategic alignment between African countries and the U.S.

The African Diplomatic Corps colorfully celebrated Africa Day at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. The turnout was remarkable. The Ethiopian Embassy took center stage, showcasing that the people of Africa are richly blessed with everything we need to thrive and flourish. Nothing should hinder us from achieving our full potential. Happy belated Africa Day!

Ethiopia will hold its elections on June 1. With over 50 million registered voters, this event is one of the largest civic engagements in Africa. This election represents a significant step toward the democratic Ethiopia we all aspire to see. Ethiopia Decides-Ethiopia Wins!

Our two-day discussion in Minnesota with members of the Ethiopian diaspora community and business owners was highly constructive and productive. I sincerely thank the leaders of the community for their warm hospitality and valuable engagement. 🇪🇹

The roundtable discussion with the think tank community was a great opportunity to present Ethiopia's economic growth and prosperity model & to exchange views on the country's political outlook, the latest regional developments and geopolitical dynamics shaping the Horn.

The engagements with Congress highlighted the significance of the Ethio-US r/ship & the importance of closer coordination to achieve comprehensive and lasting solutions to regional challenges. These engagements highlight the bright future and potential of the relationship!

The meeting between FM Gedion and Secretary Rubio provided an opportunity to discuss the long-lasting Ethio-US relations and regional issues of mutual interest. The outcome of this discussion was a strong commitment to build on this foundation for an even stronger partnership.

I am excited to share that a high-level delegation, led by FM Gedion Themoteos, successfully concluded its engagements in the US. Our first comprehensive discussion, under the just-signed Bilateral Structured Dialogue Framework, demonstrated the Framework's promising potential.

Met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister @GHessebon today to discuss expanding our security partnership and increasing commercial opportunities between our two nations.

In collaboration with DC Passport, thousands of residents from Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area visited our Embassy to experience Ethiopian cuisine, traditional clothing, art, and a coffee ceremony. #Ethiopia 🇪🇹#USA 🇺🇸

Four Years of Sustained Effort and Measurable Progress!   It is truly an honor to witness the tangible realization of our national vision at this year's "Made in Ethiopia" Expo. Our results-driven governance is reflected in unprecedented industrial expansion, highlighted by average production capacity utilization soaring from 47% to 67%, the attraction of over 2,800 domestic and foreign direct investments over the past four years, and more than $4.85 billion in foreign exchange saved through import substitution in the first nine months of the 2018 fiscal year alone.   This expo unites hundreds of dynamic enterprises and innovative startups from across the nation.
