as a software engineer, i feel a real loss of identity right now. for a long time i defined myself in part by the act of writing code. the pride in a hard-earned solution was part of who i was. now i watch AI accomplish in seconds what took me hours. i find myself caught between relief and mourning, awe and anxiety. the craft that shaped me is suddenly eclipsed by a machine. who am i now?

i am convinced that software devs have a speed problem they think the #1 issues is writing code faster... its not. its fixing the code that is already there to stop being utter garbage (as a garbage code connoisseur) quality is really lacking these days, yet quantity has never been higher

Beening a @MapleLeafs fan makes me feel like bread but in French.

Did AI make Programmers ship worse code or did it elevate hackers to be better? Vulnerabilities being released seem much more common these days.
Google has released emergency updates to fix the eighth actively exploited Chrome zero-day vulnerability since the start of the year. bleepingcomputer.com/news/se…

I truly believe @ZorinOS is the best staring point for anyone starting off with Linux. For me the biggest reasons are:

Is Zorin perfect? Probably not for everyone but for me I appreciate it a lot and highly recommend to friends and family.

Also Pro isn’t a scam. It’s just a way for the team to make money to keep the project alive. They have some nice features behind pro and I know much of Zorin is open source (free) but for me I’m happy to pay and support a team contributing to the growth of the Linux community.

What I love about @ZorinOS is you get loads of apps I’d have no idea existed coming from the MacOs world. For beginners it’s 10/10!

@rails with UI design tools like @RailsBlocks makes it super fast and easy to build apps faster, more stable and scalable than any other option out there!

To me scalable also means being profitable at scale. Hosting might cost $5 a month with Rails from day 1 but as your app grows the cost curve will be much less steep. Keeping more money in your pocket.

Just bought @RailsBlocks for Black Friday, so excited to use it building beautiful reactive Rails apps. Highly recommend 🙌
