The most interesting thing about the @FT‘s leading ‘news’ story is that there isn’t really any news in it. Tether has long held gold, and already holds gold stocks. So you have to ask: why are they running this so prominently?

Reminder: the misleading reporting of inflation in the media continues. 1. Ignores the (higher) lead measure, and reports a (lower) secondary measure 2. Blames luxuries (air travel), ignoring necessities (food inflation is much higher than headline inflation)
