If I had Elon's money I would solve world hunger instantly.😡 Sent from a device purchased with with a sum of money that could have been used to feed an Ethiopian family for a year, but wasn't, because my generosity is purely hypothetical.

Nobody is going to convince me the mahjong boom is not a Chinese psyop. Coincidentally, after COVID melted everyone’s social brain, affluent millennial women and Gen Z analog-hobby girlies suddenly decided the cure was a 19th-century Chinese tile game. Naturally, TikTok ran the cultural laundering operation and made it aesthetic, bougie, added pastel tiles, pour wine, sell retreats, and now nobody notices the Chinese soft-power payload. btw: we did the same thing to China with KFC, Christmas lights, Hollywood, Starbucks, the NBA, etc... Get on this @OMGTheWhyFiles @ShawnRyan762

This is easy to fix guys
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

It really is like this. Typically you become the “head of X” internally by taking ownership of X. Nobody is going to make you, you have to take it.
Joining a “rocketship” company usually goes like this: > you joined one month after they raise a big round > you think you have finally found your best job ever > they hire 500 clones of you doing the same job > you realize things are extremely inefficient here > you tell yourself you will make the things efficient and become “Head of” the things > you don’t become “Head of” the things > they hire “Head of” the things externally > that guy is the most insufferable jerk you’ve ever seen, fresh out of a divorce, addicted to posting on LinkedIn > you’ve been here only seven months so it’s too early to go look for a new job > none of your dreams come true at this company and you tell yourself “ let me finish two years here” > you throw in the towel at 16 months because you fully hate yourself

No presume credenciales.

The truth is that there are VASTLY more hate crimes, especially aggravated rape and murder, per person by Blacks against Whites than the other way around. The is not remotely debatable, as the numbers are so extremely lopsided!
Last year DOJ published a report. For every 10,000 blacks, 153 violent crimes are committed by a black person each year against a white person. The same figure for violent crimes committed by whites against a black person: 3.4. A black person is 50-times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white person than for a white person to commit a violent crime against a black person. This is an extraordinary difference in the rates of violence committed between these two groups. We are told that whites are systemically racist. We are told that whites are successful because they oppress others. But the facts tell the opposite story. Blacks are not the ones being victimized. Whites are. Western civilization has been successful not because it was oppressive. It has been successful because whites created, starting thousands of years ago, systems that are impartial and fair. Today these systems are being dismantled. Criminals are being released because of their skin color. Law-abiding citizens are punished because of theirs. All in service of an ideology that is simply false. This puts everyone in danger.

Let's not forget... this was ancestral knowledge forever. Babies ate what families ate. Eggs, dairy, fish, peanuts, whatever was available. Then the credentialed priesthood showed up, told everyone to delay normal foods for years, and now we get a study saying, “Actually, early is better” Cool. Glad science rediscovered grandma. At this point in my life, any expert class connected to government food guidance, institutional nutrition, public health behavior management, or anything that tells entire populations how to eat, move, medicate, parent, sleep, or live gets a long shadow of doubt from me. The machine is arrogant, slow to admit failure, and somehow never pays the bill when its guidance damages millions of families.

After the drastic change in guidance to no longer keep allergenic foods away from babies until 1 to 3 years of age and instead introduce them by 6 months of age, the prevalence of egg allergy among children fell by more than 17% in a new study published Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics. cnn.it/4v50rM0

We are in a golden age where, if you are good at systems and understanding, AI increases your abilities by an order of magnitude. But if you are not good at it, you just spin your wheels and end up nowhere helpful

I’ve known quite a few people like this. The trick is to find the ones who aren’t self-destructive.
Everyone in a prestigious and highly credentialed position knows someone lacking prestige and credentials who they consider frighteningly intelligent.

This.
I’ve never been to an upscale restaurant at 8:00 PM and seen kids. Maybe stop having your “adult” gatherings at family chain restaurants.
