ALT Businesses need to engage in more reflective procedures to consider the needs of their clients. Involving potential customers and users per se does not automatically translate to greater acceptance and adoption of technologies, my PhD research conducted over the last 4 years shows. However, one key effect of involving future customers in technology procedures is increased learning - and its benefits aren't well reaped yet. How, then, can businesses develop more meaningful technologies that better fit the needs of society?
