I really hate the “no person who works a full-time job should live in poverty” discourse. It should simply be that nobody deserves to live in poverty. We have to let go of the idea that we work in exchange for our worth. People are innately worthy and deserving of the basics.

The study (not peer-reviewed) missed the explanation for their data. Buildings/parking lots increase satellite-measured surface temp. The study appears to have simply detected that buildings were constructed where fields used to be, not that data centers are putting out heat.

I’ve been applying to new kitchen jobs for MONTHS because my current job severely undervalues (and underpays) me and I’ve been rejected from all 30 of the jobs I’ve applied to. It makes me feel like I’ve been busting my ass for absolutely nothing. I’m gonna be stuck here forever.
