Then something made me crack one eye open.
She was still on my phone, but somtin about the silence felt different charged, almost. I shifted slightly and angled a careful glance her way. What I saw made me fully alert in an instant.

After a while, she turnd to me and asked to borrow my phone said she needed to check somtin. I handed it over without a second thought and settled bak, letting the drowsiness that had been creeping up on me finally take over. My eyelids grew heavy.
