So Mike Johnson and many republicans are against banning Members of Congress from trading stocks because inflation makes their salary less valuable.
Hereâs an idea: if $174k a year isnât enough for you, then resign and let someone who is willing to work the job do it.
There are plenty of young people who would be willing to give up stock trading for that salary. And they would actually get stuff done.
And if $174k isnât enough for people to take care of their family, then how the hell is minimum wage?

This is what happens when government pushes the limits of their authority.
Kent State 1971. That day, Kent State university students held a demonstration against the Vietnam War.
Nixon stepped over the line, deploying lethal force against unarmed protestors and used the National Guard against civilians.
During the demonstration, they shot at the demonstrators, killing four (two women and two men) and wounding nine.
After the event, they went around giving a four-finger salute, celebrating âwe got four of themâ.
And it seems history is now repeating itself. Will we never learn.
