We’re experimenting with putting the next frame in the proverbial 'starting blocks', while the current one is still rendering. So the moment it finishes, the new frame fires instantly, without waiting for uploads or other shenanigans. We like our CPU % at 100 🚀

we had this tiny, mostly AI generated bash script to .zip up rendered frames nicely into chunks, but it felt a bit slow.. So we did some tests and handwrote the same thing with parallelization, resulting in a cheeky ~99% time save. Benchmark: 25 min vs 15 sec #vibecoding

If you want to use #b3d add-ons on a render farm: Check if the add-on's effects can be baked to keyframes, or has a "prep for farm" kinda button. For example the Camera Shakify from @Mrdodobird has done a great job:

Rendering is a bit faster and a bit cheaper :) We've optimized the way we cache source files to reduce download and unpack time. For a 2GB 200 frame animation: Source file preparation went from 19.5% down to 1.7% of the Job time #b3d
