The US Coast Guard held a press conference to provide updates on the search for the missing tourist submersible near the Titanic wreckage site. Rear Adm. John Mauger, commander of the First Coast Guard District, stated that everything is being done to locate and rescue the five people onboard the missing submersible The submersible has 96 hours of emergency oxygen on board. The search is being conducted off the coast of Newfoundland, and the Coast Guard is working closely with OceanGate Expeditions, the company operating the submersible, as well as other government agencies and deep-sea companies.
