It’s the season for baby birds again. Who knows what type these are? I know only because I saw the parents. I’m amazed by how much they all look alike.
Today we learned that monarchs pupate in a different orientation and different locations than the black swallowtails we are used to seeing. Thanks to my kid (who located one in 2 minutes) we now know where to look. #monarch@kwall911@naturalsciences@NorthCarolinaEE
Since I’m not a crafty person I decided to make my methane combustion model for #ItsOurAir with items from the kitchen. #KitchenChemistry with homemade play dough and natural dyes from red cabbage and cocoa powder wasn’t perfect, but it was fun. @NorthCarolinaEE@kwall911

Spring is full of new life; bluebird babies. Sadly sometimes nature takes a different path when the dog flushes out Carolina Wren fledglings and gets the one that flies into the wall. 😬 Two survived!
