It's easy to share the "things I got" updates because I can take pics of them, but I also really enjoyed the #Stargate panel hosted by @dial_the_gate as well as the various #XMen panels.
And @maro254's Blogatog Live panels are always a fun peek behind the #MTG design curtain.
As always with #SDCC, I'm both happy to be home and sad that we're now a full year away from the next one.
I'll keep an eye on some con follow-ups, but then go dark on Twitter again until planning kicks off for next year.
Until then, find me on bsky.
#SDCC recap thread.
First, this year felt like a return to the pre-strike, pre-COVID years. It's been a while but I'm glad we're back.
One huge highlight is, of course, the #DeadpoolAndWolverine Hall H screening. The line fiasco was horrible, but the experience was incredible.
What's become a new tradition is stopping by @Bling2Glass. Find & follow them on Instagram.
They have some really amazing nerdy pieces and adding more designs all the time.
This year I added a displacer beast and brontosaurus to the collection. My pics don't do them justice!
I have a long-standing tradition of getting something from @katiecandraw every year and I'm thrilled with the two pieces I added to my collection.
The first is a #JurassicPark scene and the second is a portrait of our derpy 5 month old kitten Dottie. Katie nails it every time.
I also got extremely lucky with exclusives this year. I picked up the @youtooz#Minecraft Ender Dragon and some of the pins. In fact, I scored a lot of pins this year.
Huge shoutout to @toddlandstore for making this happen - while running 3 booths this year! Absolute legends.
#SDCC also happened to overlapped with the #MTG#Bloomburrow pre-release, hosted by @cascadegamesllc.
The events were wildly popular and the set is an absolute homerun for @Wizards.
While my decks weren't that great, opening good cards can take the sting out of it.
Just realized that much like how #DeadpoolAndWolverine debuted over #SDCC, #FantasticFourFirstSteps is slated to do the same next year.
Given the issues with the D&W screening, it's anyone's guess if they'll run that back - but something big will certainly be planned.
I get home from San Diego late tomorrow and will post an #SDCC summary and breakdown sometime on Tuesday.
I’m both looking forward to getting home and sad that SDCC is once again a full year away.
Always a great, if not exhausting, time.
In a surprising turn, I managed to pick up everything I was looking for on preview night at #SDCC.
Special shoutout to @toddlandstore for knocking it out of the park with the new #Minecraft booth and @Bling2Glass for their incredible handmade glass figures (find them on insta).
Annual #SDCC gripe: ppl that show up hours after a line forms and cuts hundreds of people to meet up with friends.
If you don’t put in the time, you shouldn’t jump the line.
With 100 days until #SDCC, I've culled a lot of the accounts I'm following here (and will do more later).
I don't post here any longer and only use it to keep track of specific con things. It's nothing personal.

Elon Musk revisiting an idea apparently floated privately in the past -- charging *everyone* to use Twitter. A lower tier than premium. "We’ve moving to a small monthly payment for use of the X system," he just told Benjamin Netanyahu, saying it's only way to stamp out bots.
If you’re looking for more ways to support folks in Lāhainā and on Maui, I hope you’ll consider donating to these local organizations that are providing direct support on the ground: obama.org/discover/stories/t…
Just a heads up: If I follow you on bsky, I'm probably going to unfollow you over here.
You are, of course, not obligated to cross-post anything... but I'm continuing to whittle down my twitter footprint.
