Every employee could log quick shift notes in a simple journaling app, what happened, what broke, what customers asked for, what sold out, weird incidents, wins, and losses. Each morning, the system would auto-generate the pre-standup brief: yesterday, today, tomorrow, plus weather, local events, and key store signals. Then the fun part, you could add some “Same Window, Prior Years”. It looks at a 3-day window around today (yesterday, today, tomorrow) across past years. It could tell you what usually happens this week, traffic patterns, product demand, staffing pressure, common issues, and surprises. When you run the standup, it could record, transcribe, and send a recap with decisions and action items. Less chaos, fewer repeat mistakes, better calls, every single morning.
