I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's REALLY weird that it's happened twice

I just saw The Mandalorian and Grogu.
There's nothing about it that says this had to be a movie. It doesn't advance the plot or characters in any meaningful way, and it could have easily just been a two or maybe three-part filler episode of the show.

Wait til you're 45 and everyone you know is on different timelines.
I'm married 20 years in October, while some friends never married & another is on #3.
My kid just started driving, one friend just became a grandparent, while another is doing 3am feedings with their first.
ur 20s are weird bc so many of my friends are getting engaged, married, thinking about kids, starting big important careers. and i’m just here like hehe so Star Wars is really cool

This is why I never use the term “filler” when describing an episode w/smaller stakes. Character development episodes ARE crucial. Look at TCWs & Rebels. When Ahsoka & Ezra went on “small” missions, we got to watch them grow & expand.

The Bad Batch could have been better, but the complaint that it had too much filler is the EXACT reaction that has led Hollywood to prioritize 8 episode or less "cinematic" television. Frankly, "filler" is necessary for good television.

The effects of Cortosis on a lightsaber is the greatest thing to come from the duels in Acolyte, which were already the best we've seen since ROTS.

I know this series wasn’t for everyone, but the choreography for the lightsaber duels in The Acolyte was seriously nothing short of incredible.
Almost two years later I still find myself thinking about how these action sequences. Absolutely unreal.

Still so cool that The Acolyte actually let us watch a Kyber Crystal bleed from blue to red in a live action Star Wars project.
I’ll never understand how people thought this “broke canon” when we literally got a close-up of the exposed crystal itself.
