Who benefits?
❌ The smallest most vulnerable businesses? Nope. 45% get nothing.
❌ Consumers? Nope - prices won't fall.
✅ Nearly half the cash goes straight to large chains. McDonald's gets £400m.

In 25 years in #hospitality I’ve never been so conflicted - we all want the end goal of a VAT cut but to continue to support the trade bodies that have inflicted so much damage on the sector in support of their paymasters is hard 🤦♂️😞

If Labour is going to spend the next few months arguing about who should be PM, they should at least agree on one thing: these damaging red lines on Europe have to go.

Be honest when you make these kind of statements. No government “helped”. They imposed with no real understanding of the consequences - good and bad #hospitalityunderpressure
Today, 2.7 million workers are getting a pay rise.
