There's a story that needs to be told. And no, it won’t be a short one. But hey, no one in web3’s in a rush... right? Like many stories, this one starts at the beginning. And the beginning was 2022. We had just sold out our Genesis NFT collection — our first real win as founders. And being a first-time founder is like wearing dream goggles. Being a first-time founder in the bull market? Whole other level. But reality doesn’t wait — the first punch landed fast: Crypto crashed. FTX nuked. Bera mode: activated. The storm hit hard – so we locked in. We formed a team. Survived the legal side quests. And started building. And by late 2023 our prototype was real. But so was the pressure. We underestimated how quickly expectations would grow. We were all-in on building — and overlooked the need to stay visible. When Seedify brought us to their incubation, we pivoted. We launched campaigns. Pushed content. Burned a budget that could’ve funded months more of development. And what did we learn? You can’t market belief into a product that’s not fully ready. And with investor trust across the gaming sector at rock bottom, the default advice came pouring in: “Focus on trends, not players.” “Get a high-tier CEX — it’s all that matters.” “Just pivot to AI. AI = money.” We explored some of it. We tested the noise. We also rejected what didn’t align — even when it cost us. Because chasing hype wasn’t going to build the game we wanted. Or the company we believed in. But belief doesn’t silence the clock. The pressure for TGE got louder – and our runaway thinner. We knew that rushing in would’ve compromised everything we were building. We held the line. That’s when Open Loot entered the picture — and finally, someone spoke our language: “Finish the product. Build something fair, sustainable, and worth playing. Launch it. Earn revenue. Grow your player base. Then do the TGE.” Not a bailout. A real plan. Finally. We believed from the start that sustainable web3 games would be driven by players — not token speculation. No team token allocations. No advisor payouts. No airdrops. The only way to earn the token? Play the game. It was a reset — not of vision, but of priorities. We doubled down on what matters: building a game worth playing and a model that lasts. KOKODI has been our life for years. We've made mistakes. Made calls under pressure. But we’ve also held the line on what we believe matters. We’re not here because it was easy. We’re here because we stayed focused. We adapted. We kept building. And now, we’re ready to create something real. Not built on hype. Built for players.

Web3 still has a lot of growing up to do. And the most urgent shift we need? Specialized VCs. Gaming isn’t SaaS. It’s not DeFi. But most of you still treat it like it is. You want a finished product in 3 months. You want traction before there's even a fun, playable loop. You want tokens before there's monetization. You push for hype, then disappear when it fades. And if you manage to use that hype as exit liquidity at TGE — you call it a win. Doesn’t matter if the project crashes and burns after. Doesn’t matter if the game was never sustainable. It’s not just delusional — it’s destructive. Web2 gaming VCs are run by people from the industry. They invest before the fun. They wait through YEARS of iteration. They understand that retention comes first, monetization comes second. They help build real business models — not useless governance tokens no one wants to hold. Web3 games don’t need more tokens. We need working economies. And VCs who actually understand how games scale. Most of you aren’t that. You’re tourists with pitch decks. Applying fintech logic to fantasy worlds. If you’re serious about gaming: Learn how games are built. Or hire someone who’s shipped a game. Otherwise — get out of the way.

Pay me $10K and I'll make a banger post from my BIG account. Might even drop your name in my ultra secret alpha group! Welcome to Web3 Marketing, circa 2021. Back when vibes could raise millions, and "traction" meant a spike on DEXtools. But that era? It's over. Fake hype doesn't scale anymore. You've seen the decks: "We onboarded 100K users to our client!" "We pumped this token to the moon!" "Here's our stage at a very serious conference!" "And here we're breathing the same air as Elon Musk!" All vanity, smoke and mirrors. Web3 doesn't need more theatrics – it needs real systems to measure performance. Reach, retention, conversion, revenue, efficiency. Real verifiable data. The stuff that can't be faked with bot farms or "social quests". That's what maturity looks like. Web3 gaming doesn't just need to win back capital. We need to rebuild trust with the only audience that matters: The players still paying attention. So no – you don't get the $10K for vague promises and good vibes. Bring tools. Show results. Prove impact. Not ready to do that? Then stop wasting everyone's time. This isn't just some hot take. It's a letter for an industry that finally needs to grow up.

In the beginning, we looked at the Play-to-Airdrop model and thought: This doesn’t make sense. You raise money from investors... and instead of building the game, you give that money away?
It didn’t feel sustainable. It didn’t feel like a business.
But hey — it’s Web3. The rules are different. It seemed to be working for everyone else. Players earning. Projects booming. Token charts going vertical. So we followed their steps. And it was a trap.
A deadly one. We got lucky. A few good calls and a bit of common sense pulled us out before it was too late.
Others weren’t so lucky. The truth hit hard:
Free money doesn’t attract real players.
And investors? They don’t have infinite money printers. Looking back, it seems obvious. But at the time, we were all chasing utopian promises — economies without products, communities without games, growth without monetization. Now it’s time for radical change.
No more pretending. No more Ponzi-nomics. No more hoping that "number go up" will save the day. Let’s go back to what’s worked for hundreds of years: Build something valuable. Charge money for it. Keep improving it. Repeat. The only businesses that survive are the ones that make money. Not from hype. Not from token speculation.
From customers. So here’s our stance:
If a game can’t monetize, it won’t survive. No matter how magical the tech behind it is. We’ve all fucked around long enough to learn that lesson. Now it’s time to build something that lasts.
Trying to catch the next shiny trend? NGMI Focusing on building the good product? RESPECT
