Andrii served as the head of a humanitarian demining unit. He tragically died in 2022 in Kharkiv Oblast while carrying out the removal and disposal of explosive devices after Russian shelling of Kharkiv.
He was 31 years old.
For his family, friends, and colleagues, Andrii was always a ray of sunshine.
“Everyone who wants to become a true professional in their field should look up to him. I chose this path as well, inspired by Andrii — how he truly ‘lived’ his work, constantly improving his knowledge, consulting with more experienced colleagues, and helping young sappers,” said one of his colleagues.
“In life, just as at work, Andrii was someone who always extended a helping hand to everyone without exception. Having a friend like him is incredibly rare,” shared another colleague and friend, Maksym Fokin.
