šŸŽ‰ Positive C2PA news! - Conformant C2PAs are interoperable with Google Nano Banana (note: PII is not redacted) - A better verifier by @IPTC : originverify.iptc.org (the official Adobe one is misleading & not maintained) - A proper Camera app: proofmode.org/blog/proofmode… šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Adobe @ContentAuth is again misleading regulators while promoting the CREATOR Act, claiming C2PA can signal artists’ TDM preferences (Text/Training and Data Mining). blog.adobe.com/en/publish/20… @C2PA_org explicitly clarified to an EU consultation that it cannot.

It took 5 months for @Adobe @ContentAuth to take action on a severity "High" "Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability." affecting their C2PA verifier. The "attacker" was @GeminiApp bloated C2PA. Because, you know, C2PA is "interoperable". nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/cve…

It only took two whole months before someone finally create an issue that @Google C2PA implementations are basically DoS‑ing the official @Adobe @ContentAuth @C2PAorg validators. github.com/contentauth/c2pa-…

Responses from @Google to questions about C2PA by @KateKayeReports need a proper debunk Claim 1: "OpenAI Verify clearly says it's only for verifying whether media was produced by OpenAI tools" āž”ļøThey don't need C2PA conformance for that. But they need it to please regulators.

Claim 4: "No one is forced to use conformant implementation" āž”ļø That's what Adobe, Bytedance, Leica, Sony, Nikon do, with their own proprietary tools. No interoperability. But how Adobe, with non conform, deprecated manifests for most of its software get validated on Linkedin?

Claim 5: "Google ensures maximum privacy" āž”ļø Yes, trust Google, much like the Adobe C2PA architect and Google’s own C2PA lead, who publicly upload their Pixel‑generated images to GitHub.github.com/contentauth/c2pa-… Metadata, with Google "Maximum privacy": pic2map.com/photos-kpumpc.ht…

R.I.P. @Adobe @ContentAuth "Adobe Content Authenticity" Deceit was its only consistency, hidden under perpetual betas and manufactured goodwill. "Adobe Content Authenticity" was the final pathetic spasm of a company rotting from the inside. 2024-10-08 - 2026-05-19
A short video presenting "Adobe Content Tracking", launched at #AdobeMAX #AdobeMAX2024, part of @Adobe @ContentAuth @C2PA_org effort to help artists and fight misinformation with #Authenticity

Great! @Google has upgraded its AI image verification. So let's try it again with a good old DALLĀ·E 3 image. The verdict? It STILL fails spectacularly. Worse: it ends up granting legitimacy to the very fakes it’s meant to expose.
Great! Google rolls out its new AI image verification. So let’s put it to the test with two genAI images: one from DALLĀ·E 3, and one from the latest Nano Banana 3 The verdict? It fails spectacularly. Worse: it ends up granting legitimacy to the very fakes it’s meant to expose.

Great! @OpenAI has rolled out a @C2PA_org verifier, "for safer, more transparent AI‑slop provenance." The tool, vibe coded under an intern’s armpit, labels any C2PA-signed AI output as if it were generated with OpenAI's own systems. openai.com/verify/

The @OpenAI @C2PA_org implementation has been totally dysfunctional for more than a month. The new implementation by @TrufoAI (with watermarks?) for gpt-image 2 is not any better than the previous @truepic disaster. As always, C2PA is just there to please regulators.

Not sponsored by the AI industry: "Our results show that the specifications and the current implemented C2PA ecosystem do not yet provide the guarantees required for reliable deployment or standards adoption." eprint.iacr.org/2026/804

The #C2PA video player that "won" the price is a refactor of original code by @TrufoAI that was presented by what's left of @BBC & @itn at @IBCShow 2025. How it ended-up @EBU_HQ and @CBCRadioCanada?šŸ¤” In any case: useless. github.com/trufo-ai/c2pa-das… github.com/Security4Media/c2…
šŸ† @EBU_HQ and CBC/Radio-Canada win @NABShow award for C2PA video player tackling content authenticity The collaboration demonstrates how the technology can be embedded into newsroom operations, allowing journalists and production teams to work with provenance data šŸ”— tmbroadcast.com/ebu-cbc-radi…

Would you put your trust in an immature solution from the AI industry, being promoted here by @contentauth advisor @HenryAjder, or in ExifTool, a battle‑tested tool that local journalists have relied on for decades, assuming the same AI industry hadn’t wiped out their revenue?

Another @Adobe C2PA tool, Vibe Coded by the Senior Principal Scientist & PDF Architect for @Adobe . Chair of the #C2PA Technical Working Group. Packed with test files that demonstrate how #C2PA "protects privacy" by leaking the images capture location. github.com/contentauth/c2pa-…

Report from a reliable source for @andyparsons: @xai stopped using @C2PA_org for video signing after ten days because @Adobe’s official SDK was so bloated and slow it would’ve required another data center just to keep up.
In late 2023, I asked Elon Musk about verifiable media provenance. He said: "That sounds like a good idea actually. We should probably do it." Reports I've heard suggest xAI is now testing C2PA provenance. If that's true, I am delighted. youtu.be/R2meHtrO1n8?t=2876

Influencers on @Adobe payroll like @asahina_waki2 should know that @adobe Content Authenticity store publicly available copies of the images uploaded for C2PA signature, or just checked. Those copies have no metadata. @adobe @ContentAuth is not for Artists, it's for advertisers.

Naturally, @Adobe didn’t bother explaining how their #Spyware actually works. It’s the same outrage we saw on Instagram two years ago: @Adobe blames @Meta , @Meta blames @Adobe. Both are members of @ContentAuth, but neither wants to acknowledge that #C2PA failed.
I spend hours drawing just to get labeled ā€œmade with AIā€ ????THE AUDACITY???? pls tell me I’m not the only one experiencing this 😭😭 #artistontwitter #smallartist #artmoots
Community note
The "Made with AI" label appears automatically when images contain C2PA metadata indicating use of AI-assisted editing tools, like Photoshop's Object Selection Tool, even if the core artwork is hand-drawn. x.com/BobWulff/statu… pcmag.com/news/meta-chan…

191 bytes VS 59.6kB, C2PA needs 300X more data for text. It already breaks the open-web, your favorite data-center next?
Thanks to the sanity of EU regulators, the latest draft of the AI Act drops the C2PA reference But Erik Svilitch double down and submitted a public comment, full of nonsense. The fun part: You can't copy‑paste URLs from his C2PA‑signed PDF: his @unicode hack breaks the internet.
