With Thanksgiving around the corner, it’s time to start prepping for a round of Thanksgiving cocktails! Our suggestion for this season: the Cranberry Bourbon Smash. First you’ll need to make a maple-cranberry simple syrup. (Don’t worry, it only takes a few minutes.)

Simply heat the maple syrup, water and cranberries in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until the cranberries begin to burst. Strain the syrup and let it cool. Once the syrup is made, just follow these few steps:

Celebrate summer with America’s official spirit! Pour grenadine into a glass of ice. Slowly add a mixture of lemonade (or lemon simple syrup) and bourbon. Finally, slowly pour blue curacao over a spoon into the glass to create the blue layer. Enjoy!
