Lyle Wilkerson, the legendary baseball coach who guided Corona to its first CIF-SS championship in 1992, passed away Tuesday.
Baseball field at Corona is named for Wilkerson.

This is what I'm talkin' about! This was UCLA John Wooden-style basketball. It makes perfect sense, because John Wooden was UCLA coach Cori Close's mentor. Every other Tuesday for 15 years, Close met with John Wooden.

I know, just 2 wins, but I love to see the energy back for @UCLAFootball. And, though early, I remember 1983, my 2nd year at UCLA. The Bruins started 0-3-1, but went on to win the Pac-10 & the Rose Bowl. The QB was @CoachNeuheisel . Hoping that magic continues w/ @jerryneuheisel
