Thoughts from me and my colleagues
@DebraCurtisDC
We’ve made it to Election Day 2024. In the not-too-distant future we hope to know the results. And when we are at that point, there's one thing we hope we can each hold true: love thy neighbor. Unconditionally. Not: “so long as they support my political positions.” Not: “but only if they didn't vote for <insert name here>.” Certainly not: “I can love someone who is one of us, but I can never love someone who is one of them.” Nope. It can’t work that way. Unconditionally really means what it means.
When this election is over, if we want a better America, that would go a long way toward helping to achieve it. Sure, it will feel lonely some days like you're the only person out there practicing and meaning love thy neighbor, but we can personally promise you, you won't be alone.
