This "frugal CRISPR kit" costs about $2.
It includes a cell-free extract (no living cells), plasmids encoding colorful proteins, and Cas9 guide RNAs.
Students express colorful proteins in the extract & then use CRISPR to cut the protein-coding genes, leading to loss of color.

Webb has snapped a direct image of Epsilon Indi Ab: the coldest and most Jupiter-like exoplanet to be imaged so far. To make the discovery, Webb blocked out starlight (shown by the star symbol) with a mask called a coronagraph: go.nasa.gov/3SmQzvE

Probably my favorite part.
Seriously, this is a short read and easy to reference when trying to implement for practicing certain things or reminders. My only reservation is that it says “parents guide” because I wish I had this when I was a young student. 🧑🎓 :-)
