Hard for me to exaggerate the intensity of the wails and the gnashing of teeth from Israeli "ideologues", from the hard right to the center left, who cannot believe "Trump's betrayal". It is impossible for Israelis to think of their actions as having consequences. Signing this deal may be the most sensible thing Trump has ever done. Israel is an unwelcome albatross around his neck. He has never been in thrall to Israel and zionism. He has found Netanyahu to be a disrespectful destabilizer, an agent of harm to Trump's interest. Trump may change his mind every hour but that is part of the power dynamic of bullies. I do believe his mind is now made up. There is no telling what horrors will come to pass in Lebanon and in Gaza as Israel is allowed to continue its genocide and ethnic cleansing. Still, on one front a taboo has been unthinkably breached. Israel has been told off. Israel has been called out. This might be for all the wrong reasons. It doesn't matter one bit. You've heard it here countless times. Israel is corrupt and hollow. It is weak. Israel cannot go it alone (I wish I could translate the anguished cries of a few settler ideologues about the response we must be preparing, a response to shake up the world), Israel's gaslighting should and can be stopped. It is not inevitable. Israel must be brought to justice but Israel can and should be ridiculed mercilessly. Israel is the globe' s current hub of evil. Evil can also be pathetic.

Ok, after overcoming the initial shock (much of which was caused by the extremely irresponsible way Pakistan's PM framed this, and the unfortunate timing of the announcement), there are some things that I feel need to be said about the arrangement Iran has reached with the US. Nothing is final yet, but A. Iran did not blink or give in to American demands. From my perspective, this is the most crucial part. This arrangement does not by any means signify normalization or ideological/political reconciliation between Iran and the Great Satan. The thought that that may have happened was unbearable, to be honest, but that did not happen. Iran's integrity and steadfastness was not breached or compromised. Actually it looks like Iran's leadership has been able to accomplish the impossible. B. Iran is guaranteed immediate, major and concrete benefits, which include access to many billions of dollars; the withdrawal of US forces; and the biggest assurance to date of pace for the people of Lebanon. These are major breakthroughs, and Iran is not required to compromise any of its core interests or principles. Again, a most significant point. C. This arrangement, as far as concerns the US, essentially puts into a dignified framework around its disengagement from the battlefield, building a momentum for general withdrawal from the Persian Gulf in general, and leaving its entire West Asia presence centered in and around the Zionist core in occupied Palestine. This is very meaningful, strategic progress for the resistance. - This is what I can reliably say right now, and I think it is important that this is heard right now. The very idea of contact between Iran and the US is destabilizing for a lot of people, but we have to fair and honest when judging what Iran's leaders and representatives are doing and have been able to achieve. Iran, as a country and a system, remains formidable and committed to it longtime revolutionary vision, and is winning, after defeating the US and Israel multiple times in multiple way, including on the battlefield. It stands tall, and deserve the support and love of everyone who stand with freedom and dignity. This is not the end of the journey; fascinating and critical days wait ahead. Iranians can and should be immensely proud of themselves; they are indeed mighty

Iran has officially rejected Trump’s proposed weekend deal. Iranian officials will not travel to Europe to sign any agreement with JD Vance. Instead, Iran has dropped a 14 point manifesto. Here’s the breakdown. Full and immediate end to the war on every front including Lebanon. America must swear publicly no interference in Iran’s internal affairs and respect their sovereignty. Lift the naval blockade within 30 days. Open the Strait of Hormuz again within 30 days but only on Iran’s terms. Withdraw American troops from every border territory touching Iran. Suspend all sanctions on oil, petrochemicals and everything else. Give Iran full access to its money. America and its allies who participated in the war must present a $300 billion plan to restore what they tried to destroy. Within 60 days, finish the nuclear deal. Total lifting of sanctions and UN resolutions. Iran stays committed to the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and says clearly we are not building nuclear weapons. America cannot add more troops or new sanctions while talks are happening. Unfreeze $24 billion of Iran’s money within 60 days. Hand over half before serious negotiations start. Create a real monitoring system so nobody can cheat. Final deal must be locked in with a UN Security Council resolution. And most importantly, Iran will not come back to the table until half the assets are already unfrozen, oil sanctions are gone and the naval blockade is lifted.

🇮🇷💥 Iran missiles just DODGED US Patriots and smashed straight into the F-35 base in Jordan. The "invincible" stealth fighters and billion-dollar air defenses couldn't stop it. While the US pours weapons into endless wars, Iran is showing the world what real deterrence looks like. Empire humbled again.

During the hegemonic era, security relied on dominance, or "peace through strength." There was no need for the West to understand the security concerns of its opponents, and diplomacy was replaced by ultimatums and threats. Western hegemony is now over, and the Political West must learn diplomacy again. As Hegseth demonstrates, the only plan is to strike Iran hard and hope that it will do as the US demands.

Greenwald just said the quiet part out loud: The US president wants to end a war. He can't. Because a foreign lobby - and a foreign government - have more power over American foreign policy than the American people, Congress, or the president himself
