Posted this back in 2020. We had a near miss. Looks like he's in it for the win this time @JonSopel . America, no matter how big the tantrum, do not give Trump an ENABLING LAW. #Trump #EnablingLaw #UltimateGoal

So you're saying if we'd sprayed stuff white and then put a red cross on it the media would have supported us? You live and learn I guess.

Today would have been my dad’s 74th birthday. This season carries gravity. Father’s Day, his birthday, and the anniversary of his passing all fall within 60 days. For me, grief has no straight path. It revisits, reshapes, and rises when I least expect it. But alongside it lives a legacy built on generosity and kindness. He made people feel seen. Gave permission to feel deeply and to laugh through pain. That mission continues. To those carrying loss right now: you’re not alone. Happy birthday, Dad. Love you forever.

Devasting to see the illegal felling of the 500-year-old Whitewebbs Park Oak. These ancient natural monuments deserve greater protection. Please visit Protect our Living Legends - Woodland Trust to demand better for our nature.

There is no Cost of Living Crisis. Supermarkets have permanently quadrupled their profits. Energy Companies have permanently x10ed their profits. It is a Cost of Greed Crisis and it needs to be reversed.

Keir Starmer orders UK economic reset amid Donald Trump’s tariff mayhem. It must not mean more austerity and benefit cuts. Must mean direct state investment in infrastructure and redistribution of wealth to boost spending power of the bottom 50%. theguardian.com/politics/202…

The British Summer Time Act (BST) was originally a man's idea to boost "productivity" of workers & starting it on Mother's Day is beyond cruel! This man calls to put things right! Tell @10DowningStreet to #ScrapBST - Now there's a Mother's Day present! πŸ’ #HappyMothersDay

BREAKING: A Russian scientist who opposed Putin’s war, fled Russia & found work at Harvard was detained at Logan Airport returning from a French academic conference and has been sent to an immigration detention center in Louisiana for deportation to Russia currenttime.tv/a/rossiynka-s…
Community note
Kseniia Petrova was arrested after she failed to declare biological specimens (frog embryos) in her luggage. If she is deported, she will be sent to France, not Russia. thecrimson.com/article/2025/3…

On Wednesday we published an interactive map showing the tens of thousands of UK companies hiding their beneficial owner. It's now updated - with filters and search functions. In this thread I use it to uncover a truly shocking and unexpected case of hidden ownership.

A sobering message from a history teacher: I’ve spent years teaching American and international government β€” from strong democracies like the UK to authoritarian regimes like russia and China. But lately, the most alarming lesson comes from home. 1/n

Thank you the 15,000 people who came out in Tempe, Arizona tonight for our Fighting Oligarchy tour. In fact, not only was the arena filled, but the overflow crowd was also at capacity. Americans will not hand their democracy over to authoritarianism.
