AI was supposed to give us our time back. More walks. More hobbies. More dinners with people we love. Instead we're vibe-coding apps that don't matter. Doing 3x the work in the same hours and calling it productivity. We got the tool. We missed the point.

Crazy story at yesterdays @Mets game - Guy in section 121 had a heart attack and his wife started frantically yelling for help or a doctor or nurse to come over - One random guy in the section who said he was neither started doing chest compressions and saved the mans life. Eventually paramedics showed up to take over and assist the fallen man. The hero went back to his seat, sat down and watched the rest of the game with zero fanfare or attention. He just wanted to watch the Mets win. When the game ended he walked out like nothing had happened. Don't know his name but he saved a mans life and is a hero.

The biggest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast. Bad conversation? Move on. Bad day? Start fresh tomorrow. Missed workout? Hit it the next day. Poor decision? Learn and adjust. You can’t control what happens to you, but you control how long you let it affect you.

My coworker never attends after-work gatherings; everyone says he's withdrawn, aloof, and doesn't fit in. One of the things I’m working on this year is being able to let go at the end of the day. Whatever I don’t get finished can be picked up tomorrow, focus on family time the rest of the evening - don’t stress over what didn’t get done, feel good for what did.
