Primary night in Illinois. What kind of people, and what kind of nation, we will be by November? If their strategy is fear, our strategy has to be turnout. A prayer for candidates. A plan for the rest of us.

You can wrap war in moral language. You still can’t stop me from feeding somebody. When wars begin, we Christians cry.

Five-minute speech. No voice. $25k on the line. So our Comms Director gave the pitch while I stood next to her holding ridiculous one-word placards. Honestly? It worked. More haunted harmonica energy here: substack.com/home/post/p-189…

I keep singing this old Mennonite hymn. First stanza: If the war goes on and the children die of hunger, and the old men weep, for the young men are no more, and the women learn how to dance without a partner, who will keep the score? Full lyrics: danutm.wordpress.com/2011/04…

What a shame what's happening to our partners @faithinplace, but glad they are pushing back on the administration. When we restrict funds to the most disenfranchised communities, we do a disservice to us all.

December 6 is the anniversary of Hut’s martyr’s death in 1527. In honor of the many conversations sparked this year by Hut’s life and thought, we are raffling off a cozy "Hans Hut Holiday Hat" to a supporter every week in December! 💚 🔗Donate today: bit.ly/3xbIq5x
