My office is here to serve you and provide solutions for all the citizens of Union City. Your problems are my problems, and I would love to hear how I can help.
Feel free to call my phone at

Breakfast with Mayor was very successful with over 100 residents coming out and meeting with me one on one. Nothing is more important than meeting with residents and hearing first hand how they feel, issues they may have, and ideas they want considered. We will continue this approach throughout our district and change up the times to give everyone an opportunity to attend.
Thank you to @RiderUniversity and @MicahJRasmussen for hosting me tonight. I enjoyed sharing my experiences in government and answering some great questions from students.
Wishing everyone an amazing weekend and reminding you that I am always just a phone call away regardless of the time and day. Call me anytime and I promise to always try my best to deliver. Enjoy your weekend everyone
Join our team! Our Re-Election campaign is heating up and we need your help. Please consider volunteering one or two nights a week or on Saturday morning to ensure the progress continues. We need all the help and support to get our message out and reach as many residents as possible. My team truly believes in earning each vote and we need your help to deliver that message. Hope to see you soon at 3800 Palisade Avenue.
Another successful Empanda’s with the Mayor at two great local establishments. Thank you to La Gran Via and Noches De Colombia for hosting us and to all the residents who stopped by and said hello.
Excited to bring my office closer to your home! Please join me tomorrow if you have any concerns, issues or would like to chat.

8pm update: Special thank you to our amazing DPW workers , Union City Police Department and all the volunteers who spent the last few days cleaning up this blizzard.
Morning update: Crews were out all night, pushing snow and salting our streets. Please remember the danger of throwing snow into the streets, we need to keep them clean for Fire, Police, and EMS. We began snow removal on some of the main avenues to make them wider and safer. As you all know, this isn’t a normal storm and will take time to clear out. Stay safe, patient and call me anytime.
3:30pm update:
Now that the snow has stopped and the residential clean up begins, please be mindful were you throw the snow. Do not throw the snow back into the streets, on top of fire hydrants or into a neighbors driveway. Let’s be mindful of each other and be good neighbors the next few days. Our work won’t stop anytime soon but together we will get through this. Thank you
The clean up hasn’t stopped but the snow isn’t slowing down either. This is not a normal snow storm and will take days to clean up. We are expecting another 8 inches of snow today to bring the total over 24inches. Stay off the roads today, please I urge you not to drive if you do not absolutely have too.
The storm has picked up and will continue to intensify throughout the night. A reminder to please stay off the roads and stay indoors. Our crews will be out all night long, doing our best to clear our streets and respond to all emergencies. Please be patient with us as we do our best and work as hard as we can. I will be personally out and will keep you all updated as well.
We are expecting another major storm tomorrow into Monday. Please be prepared and try to stay off the roads tomorrow so our cleaning crews can safely clear our streets. I know it hasn’t been an easy Winter this year but we need to work together to get through it.
Thank you to our amazing DPW for getting through day one of this storm. We will continue to work around the clock to get every street to black top .
School is closed tomorrow in Union City and garbage pick up will resume tomorrow for 2nd street through 36th street. Please put garbage out after 4:30pm. Lastly, please be safe, take your time if you must travel tomorrow. Thank you for understanding and sticking together.
We are working through this massive storm. Please do your part and stay home and off the streets to give our crews enough time to clear our roads. This is a two part storm and I will update you all later this afternoon. We will get through this together.
Late night but very meaningful community meeting tonight. Thankful to all who came out to share their thoughts/ concerns and please remember to attend as many as possible. Together, we will keep our community a safe and thriving place to live.
I want to extend my sincere congratulations to our newly sworn-in Assembly Members and Legislative Members. A very special congratulations to our very own Larry Weinstein and Gabriel Rodriguez, who will serve the 33rd Legislative District.
As you begin this new term, I look forward to continued collaboration as we work together to strengthen our communities, advance thoughtful policy, and ensure a strong future for all.
I try very hard to be available and accessible as much as possible. It’s great to hear it from our residents and even sweeter when it’s regarding working together to help others in need. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your experience.
Busy but successful day today meeting with residents one on one. It takes a lot but nothing is more important than hearing and solving as many problems, concerns, and issues as possible. I pledged from day one City Hall would be open to all our residents and that commitment is stronger today than when I first became Mayor. Can’t wait to keep it going in 2026.
As we celebrate Christmas, I’m grateful for the kindness, generosity, and spirit that define our community. May your homes be filled with warmth, love, and hope this holiday season. Love, Brian, Mercedes, Brandon and Perla
