It has been shown that MBR decoding significantly outperforms MAP decoding, but its high cost makes it impractical for most applications. Can we harvest the quality gains of MBR at train time w/o sacrificing inference-time efficiency? TLDR: yes!

Papers are funded by public money, produced on the back of volunteers. How utterly ridiculous indeed for an uninvolved third party to come in and charge a horrendous amount, whithout adding any value.

Yeah … Our paper got accepted! We conducted years of research, spent countless hours to analyze, interpret, & write the manuscript. Editors & reviewers voluntarily spent their time ensuring its quality. Now, we need to pay $4,430 so that you can read it. Isn't that ridiculous?
