this is random but i’ve never been able to dive into a pool, like my body just wouldn’t allow me to dive no matter how hard i tried to, i just couldn’t.
anyway i recently found out that my great-grandfather died after diving into a shallow pool back in 1934 💔

my grandad was only 2 when he died and never got to know his dad. my grandad died in 2024, 90 years after his own dad

also i remember teachers literally pushing me underwater and trying to flip me and i hit my head on the bottom of the pool. i was a very good swimmer but being unable to do the essential skills to do competitive swimming i had to give up on it :(
