MetLife Stadium. July 19. The World Cup Final.
I'll be watching from my couch in State College, Pennsylvania, probably too invested in a team I have no business caring this much about.
If you'll actually be there — our New York guide: goingsolo.life/world-cup-202…
A World Cup Round of 16 match. July 4th. Lincoln Financial Field. The city where independence was signed.
America's 250th birthday and a knockout match on the same day, in the same city.
I don't know who planned that, but well done.

Nobody's talking about Monterrey for the World Cup and I think that's a mistake.
The 1,000th match in World Cup history gets played there. Mountain backdrop. Best carne asada in Mexico. Genuinely beautiful city.

I'm not Canadian, but I feel something about Canada playing its first-ever home World Cup match on June 12 in Toronto.
Every country deserves that moment. This is theirs.

I write a solo travel site, so I'm biased — but the World Cup is genuinely one of the best events to attend alone.
You're never really alone in a stadium of 80,000 people who all care about the same thing you do.
Guides for all 16 host cities if you're going: goingsolo.life/world-cup-202…
The Azteca hosted the 1970 final. It hosted the Hand of God in 1986.
On June 11, it opens the 2026 tournament for the third time — the only stadium in history to host three World Cups.
Some places just carry history differently.

I built the GoingSolo.Life World Cup guides because I love both travel and sport, and these two things don't overlap enough in good travel writing.
16 cities. Months of work. Hope someone finds them useful this summer.

Dallas gets 9 World Cup matches this summer. More than any other city on earth.
It's also the most logistically tricky venue in the tournament — no rail to the stadium, Texas heat, and Argentina twice in the group stage.
I tried to write the guide I'd want if I were going. Hope it's useful.

I spent a lot of time this spring building out World Cup city guides for GoingSolo.Life — all 16 host cities, with transit, neighborhoods, food, and matchday logistics.
Won't be at any matches myself, but if you're going, I want these to actually help you.

@GoDaddyHelp weird issue trying to log into my acccount. On all browsers, MacBook Pro, tried removing extensions, cleared cache, etc. Help
