We were pleased to meet with Preet Kaur Gill MP to introduce our range of services for women and children subject to domestic abuse. Interesting thoughts on addressing the needs of children, homelessness and the role of CJS in protecting women and children. #VAWG
As a former children’s services manager in the city, I worked with victims and families affected by domestic violence. Great to visit @bswaid to see their brilliant work at the new Theresa Stewart Women's Centre. I look forward to continuing working together on #VAWG

She mostly made it up. Obviously. Except for the times he throttled her. Oh yes, and that one time he murdered her
I bet there are loads of women reading this - a judge sentencing a man to six years for killing his wife - thinking "if my partner ever kills me, that's the story he'd tell people about me"

The prison Early Release Scheme could see prisoners released up to 70 days early. We're standing with @RefugeCharity and the #VAWG sector, calling for the government to ensure that perpetrators of #DomesticAbuse and other forms of #VAWG WONT be eligible.

Currently, there is no requirement that psychological 'experts' who give evidence in the family courts are suitably qualified and regulated. This case demonstrates why change is needed - to protect survivors and children. thebureauinvestigates.com/st…
