The bronze by Mark English is the first major championship medal for coach @FeidhlimKelly of @dublintrackclub - who lives, breathes and will die by this sport like few others.
No one has done more to raise standards in recent years.

In an Olympics of amazing times, this one stands out for me. The Netherlands stunning 4x400m silver medal was a 5.19s improvement on their national record before Tokyo. 🤯

Five years ago @JCamachoQuinn smashed a hurdle in Rio and went home devastated. Now she's the Olympic champion.

Italy's outbreak started in the province of Lodi, in Southern Lombardy. The Italian government forced a first lockdown here 3 weeks ago. This area only counted 10 new cases today ( 0.9% on yesterday). Social distancing works.

Appropriate on the eve of #IWD2020 to remember the phenomenal physical abilities of Mary Peters.
Are there any Irish men who could do this now?
About a decade ago she told me her lifetime best vertical jump were 36” (91cm), her 1/8th squat 860 lbs (390kg !!) and bench 240 lbs (108kg). 1.82m high jump and 17.11u shot put. Incredible physical abilities.

No Dominic Casey even on the shortlist. Great coaches but 4 of them basically got their county to be the best in Ireland. Casey basically got his West Cork parish to be one of the best countries in the world.
