Biodiversity loss is rarely the sudden extinction of a species. Biodiversity loss is the thinning of the tapestry of life. While the holes appearing in this tapestry are overtly identifiable and dramatic, they are symptoms of the serious system-wide issue.

A powerful symbol of hope. Yesterday, members of @xryouthuk planted an Oak sapling in Parliament Square, in the desolate grounds where all the grass died in this summer's heatwaves.
We're asking @MayorofLondon to #KeepTheTree. The seeds of change need fostering more than ever.
