This is one of the most compelling party political broadcasts I've seen in decades. No wonder Farage and the rest are petrified about being eclipsed by @TheGreenParty @ZackPolanski Strong messaging built for the visual age and proof comms doesn't need to demonize marginalised communities.

This makes no sense… An MP can wake up one morning, ditch the party you elected them for, & sign up to a completely different manifesto… And we’re supposed to be ok with that? Nah If they defect to a different party, we should get a vote Sign the petition & help make that law. petition.parliament.uk/petit…

JUST IN: After graciously accepting MarĆa Corina Machado’s Nobel Peace Prize he did not win, Donald Trump has restored balance by accepting Liz Truss’s prestigious Golden Lettuce Award — which he absolutely deserves.

"If you don't let us torture and murder foxes, we'll kill all our dogs." - Wonderful argument.
There are an estimated 20,000 foxhounds in the U.K. Those who want to ban trail hunting - hounds and horses chasing a scent trail laid by man - would lead to them all being put down. That’s what ignorant ā€œanimal rightsā€ campaigners want. 20,000 dead dogs. So here’s an AI photograph of what a small proportion of that might look like.

The Australien Government has made an ad about the Social Media Ban for Under-16s, and it's surprisingly honest and informative. #auspol

Nature isn’t the enemy of housing—it’s essential for healthy communities. Scapegoating wildlife won’t speed up building, but it will cost us vital habitats. The EAC report is clear: stop this lazy narrative, fix skills shortages, and protect our environment.
Nature is not the blocker to 1.5 million homes, instead it’s a necessity for building resilient towns and neighbourhoods. Read our new report on environmental sustainability and housing growth ā¬‡ļø publications.parliament.uk/p…

On this day, 100 years ago, the world's first photographs of a tiger taken in the wild were published in The Illustrated London News. The headline read: "A Triumph of Big Game Photography: The First Photographs of Tigers in the Natural Haunts". Full story in the thread below.
Over the years we've been wowed by stunning photographs of wild tigers, especially from India. But have you ever wondered who took the first photograph of a tiger in the wild? When? Where? Well, here it is. Shot in 1925. The photographer: An Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer.

In the *final* spotlight in this series, we focus on birdwatchers whose checklists from 2001-2004 are on eBird (Birders who have 10 or more checklists have been considered) If you have checklists from before 2014, in notebooks, diaries, scanned images, reach out to us!
Historical bird data can help us detect shifts in species distributions, migration patterns, and breeding behavior and more. So, we are shining a spotlight on the birdwatchers whose checklists provide us historical info on eBird! Watch this space. #AvianArchives

An absolutely stunning female Grey Phalarope in summer plumage at Loch of Spiggie, Shetland today. Unlike their Red-necked cousins which breed here in small numbers, Greys are extremely rare in spring and thus rarely enjoyed in this incredible plumage. No wonder why the rest of the world calls them Red Phalaropes...

Unbelievably tragic news from Rajasthan. I've had the fortune to have travelled twice with @RadheBishnoi__ : an incredible young person who had devoted his life to Great Indian Bustard and other conservation in Rajasthan
Last night, we lost our flag bearer of the #GIB Community Conservation Program, in a fatal road accident. Even up to the last breath, he was with an anti-poaching patrolling team. @RadheBishnoi__ you gone too early my boy. A true martyršŸ’šŸ™
