I’ve gotten multiple replies that “it’s always been like this.” Between June 2-9 we had the State of Play, Summer Games Fest, Wholesome Direct, Xbox Showcase, the PC Gaming Show, and the Nintendo Direct. There is no recent year where they are all this tightly clustered together.

2025 for example, Nintendo had no general Direct and did a DK direct on June 18th. 2024, Sony had no June State of Play. The timing of everything this year meant almost every other day there was an event, similar to E3. It’s not JUST about being in June, it’s about being a week.
