I frequently see readers asking if leaving comments on old fics is weird. Comments on old fics make my week!

and if it doesn’t make a splash that first week, it gets forgotten entirely 😭 idk what the solution is really except that readers shouldn’t feel weird or shy about sharing a fic that’s months or years old. i’ve seen people say they worry it’s weird & it’s really not!

Also, authors have the ability to turn off comments entirely. If they haven't done that, I consider it a green light to comment. If they get upset, they're the one being weird, and I guarantee you they are in the small minority who feel that way.
