Farewell to small theatres then, it seems like producers in South India aren’t able to see beyond their profit and certainly have no intention to save cinematic experience or saving the cinema itself.
In a time when Bollywood is actively opting for 8 weeks window, producers in South instead of increasing the window, are hellbent on putting movies on OTT as soon as theatrical run is over sometimes even less than 4 weeks.
Why would people come to theatre if they know movie is coming in 4K in 4 weeks? Hope someone can put some sense into these people.
