Some of the Monx pieces being called the ugliest are the ones I happen to like most. Funny how that works. Subjectivity.
Funny, too, that we're now living on a public ledger where I actually catch myself wondering if liking something getting this kind of noise somehow would extend that noise to me. "Being an artist".
Well I do have an opinion lol. Decided to not care liking something that is reveiving noise. Because I like it. Simple.
I kinda toss aside group think, especially if it's wrapped in pressure.
I shield my opinion most often, sticking to my own game, my own art. But as a given, art should NEVER EVER be subject to pressure about what to think, what to like, or where to belong. Or why.
It's art. You cannot like it. Even think it's not art. Fine. Move on.
These are 777 individual ideas and concepts visualized. Sometimes it only takes a single line, intentionally left exactly as it is. What some call ugly or effortless may be entirely deliberate.
The bigger question is simple: do you like it? Does that line, exactly as it exists, add something for you, how you perceive it? Is it part of the piece's power?
I've seen a lot of chat explaining when I'm supposedly allowed to call something "fine art" and what benchmark it needs to meet.
Eh. It's art. It's supposed to be subjective.
What I bought was a piece of a collection of 777 pieces where each one is actually different. Scroll from A to Z and you'll see an artist thinking out loud. 🤷♂️

people mad/FUDing that a project brought their audience/art with them for an NFT mint on the XRPL (and sold out within seconds) is like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum in the store because the the cereal their mom bought didn't have chocolate in it.
If that's what you spend your time on, maybe find a new hobby because crypto isn't for you.

Cool little collection on the XRPL minting tomorrow.
Noticed them a while back and liked their art style so gave them a follow and they reached out to me with this custom CrediBULL PFP which is pretty dope.
Won’t be able to mint anything myself (would have been my first NFT on $XRP) since I’m traveling atm.
