A lot of shows were held in small venues on USA Tuesday Night Fights. One place that comes to mind is the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia. We used to have a place here in Boston called the Roxy. It was a nice, small venue and there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. The best thing about the Apex is that they don’t have to wait for an opening at an arena before scheduling fights because they have their own venue. Now they don’t have to wait for dates. When they want to put on a fight, they can stage it at the Apex and save a lot of money. Obviously they will still do big shows in major arenas, but the Apex gives them a place to keep their fighters active without having to wait for available slots at other venues.

Lots of complaintsonline about Zuffa doing their shows at the soon to be expanded Apex. I attended multiple shows at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi that were title fights held on hbo and showtime, spike, and espn. Berto vs collazo, Bradley vs cherry, Taylor vs Solomon. 600 seat venue
