Been a bit quiet lately... but for good reason! I’ve just finished revising my website and updating my offerings, check it out at callumfackrell.com. On top of that, I’ve got some big news: I’m expecting my first child at the end of March! 🎉 As you can imagine, I’m trying to build a little extra cushion before parent life kicks in, and I could really use your help. If you know anyone looking to start their own business or improve their online presence, please share my website with them. Whether it’s a custom website, branding, or social media templates, I’m dying to help other passionate individuals get their dreams off the ground. Sharing costs nothing but would mean the absolute world to me, and it might just help me buy a few extra nappies (or maybe even a full night’s sleep someday 🤞) Thanks so much for your support, it really does make all the difference ❤️ 👉 callumfackrell.com

Ok so 2024 has been busy. 16 websites and 4 rebrands. I feel like I'm on a role and can't wait for 2025.

These little example graphics took me far longer than I would have liked but I'm happy with the result. All are responsive frames that work on mobile tablet and desktop :) Think this is clear enough for potential customers?

This is actually unbelievably helpful, I suck at illustrations. I'll be trying this when I get home

Brand colour 🔄 minimalist? Never sure which way to go with these (generalised copy, don't want to share stuff from clients before launch)

All of the consumer AI chatbots are all at such as competitive level that it really just comes down to use experience now. Perplexity's Pro Search feels a lot busier than SearchGPT's experience, while offering a similar amount of context and references. It's nice that I can select Claude and GPT and interchangeably on Perplexity though so I think I'll keep using that while I see if SearchGPT holds up :)

Coming up to the end of my first year of freelancing and I've made just shy of my employment salary. I felt a bit bad because I was worrying about my mortgage and car payments, but I remembered that I've started from £0, and right now I work harder than I did at employment while using less of my time. I don't clock watch and wait for 5, I do what I've been asked by my clients and spend the rest of my time with my family and friends ❤️ I'd have been happy with rock bottom income if I still had the year I've had this year. I've seen so many loved ones grow, and to be honest so have I The money has been comfortable and it only goes up from here 💪 Glad to see others prosper as well ❤️‍🩹 congrats @robably__

Just cracked something cool - I've built a website copy assistant with Claude that actually works! 230k characters later and not a single hallucination, it also doesn't start writing unless it has all the context it needs which is super cool 😎 Pairing it up with Perplexity's web searching, I haven't been able to fault the outputs. Clients like the copy also and the websites are ranking well on Google. Handles all the competitor research bit while I focus on making it look amazing, and giving me the sources back means I can check over what it's found to make sure it's appropriate. Definitely feels like the future of web design... until Claude learns to code the whole thing for me haha

I'm only just realising now how big of a jump the new Claude Sonnet 3.5 version is now I'm going back and reusing previous client context helpers I've made for myself. It's so much more articulate and a lot less of a 'Yes-Man' and is a lot more critical and humanistic!

Copywriting for a website takes much more work and time than designing it
