Semis had a rough one β and Oracle's post-market drop made it worse.
Nvidia fell -3.7%, AMD -4.9%, Micron -4.7%, Broadcom -5.1%. Two factors at play: the broader risk-off mood from Iran escalation, and the looming SpaceX IPO potentially pulling rotation out of AI names.
Oracle closed -2.2% and then dropped another -10.1% after hours. It beat on earnings and revenue, but announced plans to raise an additional $20bn for AI infrastructure β markets didn't like the price tag. Super Micro Computer fell -28% on plans to raise $7bn through equity deals. Amazon closed -2.5% after securing a $17.5bn credit facility for AI investment, and its expanded trucking offering hit freight stocks hard: Old Dominion -5.1%, XPO Logistics -5%, FedEx Freight -3.8%, ArcBest -4.7%, Saia -3.3%.
Nike slipped -1.5% after an RBC downgrade to sector perform.
Meme stocks: GoPro -8.2%, AMC 6.9%, Krispy Kreme 4.6%, Opendoor 3.2%, Avis 3%, Nokia -3.3%
Crypto stocks: Mara Holdings -5.2%, Gemini Space Station -3.1%, Bullish -3%, Circle Internet Group -2.7%, MicroStrategy -1.4%, Coinbase -1%
