Yet another reverend and his family slaughtered for their faith in Christ in Nigeria. As the Church, we must stand tall in the face of giants. As David took down Goliath, as Daniel in the lions den, as Jesus Christ faced the cross. We are called to lock arms with our brothers and sisters in the fire, as the waters rise, as the sword is drawn.
There is no single threat nor persecution that will force us to reject the one true living God. We will not cower. We will not bow. We will not submit to that which is false. Our faith is on an immovable foundation on the rock of Jesus Christ.
We hold fast to Romans 8:35-39 which says, βWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, βFor your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.β No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.β
