It’s my first week at the longest-running show in TV history! So excited to be joining this great team as an associate producer. If it’s Sunday, it’s @MeetThePress w/ @kwelkernbc 🦚

David Jackson was a tenacious reporter and terrific storyteller. He was also kind and funny. I was fortunate to cover the White House beat with him during the Bush and Obama years. We worked together on the WHCA board and, later, in the USA Today newsroom. I'm heartbroken at his passing. DJ, as we called him, was tireless in pursuit of a story. He loved baseball and traveling and cherished the many friendship he forged. He will be greatly missed.

Yes I use AI a ton and the thing it lacks from a journalism perspective is context. Like why does this fact matter after what has happened previously. I don’t doubt that will come, but news judgement varies — will all news orgs use the same “news judgement model”?

‘We ain’t ready.’ Michelle Obama says Americans don't want a woman president so they shouldn't look to her to run. “As we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready," she said. "That’s why I’m like, don’t even look at me about running.” usatoday.com/story/news/poli… @_erinmansfield

America's 250th birthday is about to be everywhere. I recommend this smart piece by @SusanPage, who has interviewed 10 presidents and gives her take on where America stands in its still-evolving experiment in democracy usatoday.com/story/news/nati… via @USATODAY

How epic was the comeback by the @dodgers in World Series Game 7? Clayton Kershaw’s reaction said it all. “What, we just won?" Kershaw said. “Really? Are you sure?’ I was warming up. I really had no idea we won." @BNightengale @USATODAYsports @OSAliciaD
