State pension will rise in April by Sept CPI which was 3.1%. So old basic state pension up £4.25 a week to £141.85 and new state pension up £5.55 to £185.15. Triple lock would have raised them by 8.3% so ending it will cost old state pensioners £372 a year and new £486 a year.

Surprising what each year NICs earned if you wanted to earn a state pension in own right either before or after married stamp stopped, few had a chance to make 39yrs for basic state pension, 30 was better 2010-16 but now increased to 35

It doesn't work. Means-testing never does. Of course it saves some money. But it excludes many who need it.

Many relying on state pension as their only income receive much less than the new state pension, the gap widens annually with inflation.

In 1993 Jeremy Corbyn campaigned to equalise state pension age at 60 for men & women & increase the amount of state pension paid.
