Middle of last year my life was in shambles. Going through a divorce, was extremely depressed in a very dark place, and needed a change. 6 months ago I took a risk, moved across the state, left my job and focused on EV betting which i started doing in 2024. That ended up being the best decision of my life! Never have I had so much time to pursue my interests, as much money, and as little stress. I’d be lying if i spent more than a couple hours a day doing this too. Life switched from a curse to a blessing. One thing that isn’t talked about enough in this space is the transparency of ebbs and flows. And with the brutal start I’ve had to March, now seems like the perfect time to bring it up. Even when using the right tools and methodologies, downswings are nearly inevitable- it doesn’t mean the process is inherently wrong, it just means that the probabilities & outcomes are playing out against you temporarily, rather than the theoretical outcomes that are with you in the long run. While in theory (and historically, in my case) the tides will turn back my way, it IS important to take moments of being in the red as an opportunity to review, analyze, and possibly iterate depending on your findings. And I’m not sure how else this would be possible without Pikkit (March calendar data below).

I testified before the House Rules Committee about the urgent need to restore the gambling loss tax deduction to 100%. I submitted an amendment to this week’s Appropriations bill that would do just that. It’s time to get this fair, common sense fix over the finish line.

Deez when this hits

Earlier this year, the Big, BS Budget Bill changed how gambling losses are taxed by capping the deduction at 90%. That means some gamblers will owe taxes on money they never actually earned when they file starting in 2027. But we still have time to fix this. As long as we restore the tax deduction on gambling losses to 100% by the end of 2026, this unfair tax hike never takes effect. I’ll keep fighting next year to get my bipartisan #FAIRBETAct passed.
