Le maraîchage va être profondément bouleversé par la changement climatique. Après plusieurs mois de modélisation, je vous présente la biogéographie et la saisonnalité de la tomate* entre 1970-2000 (gauche) et 2060-2090 (droite). ➡️SAISONNALITE : L'été devient progressivement hostile à la tomate en Espagne et sud de la France. Les côtes de la Manche acquièrent au contraire un important potentiel. Au contraire, les inter-saisons deviennent beaucoup plus intéressantes pour la culture de la tomate en Espagne et dans le sud de la France ! ➡️BIOGEOGRAPHIE : l'aire de répartition de la tomate à tendance à gagner vers le nord et disparaître depuis le sud avec la désertification progressive de l'Espagne. Il faudra anticiper ces évolutions en ayant des POLITIQUES PUBLICS adéquates. Si nous anticipons l'évolution de la saisonnalité et de la biogéographie (et tous les conséquences économiques de déplacements et d'évolutions des filières économiques), nous arriverons à faire face à ce bouleversement !
